Known as the land of religion, spirituality and knowledge, the traditions and customs of the Chandela dynasty of Giddhaur have a different history of their own. The temple of Dakshin Kali Maa, established in Mahuligarh, situated at a distance of about 1.5 km from Lord Minto Tower Chowk, the residence of Kumar Ranbir Singh, the middle nephew of Maharaja Giddaur, scattered in these history blocks, is still the center of faith and belief for the people of Giddhaur and Mahuligarh. Local people also know it as Mashan Kali.

According to the information received, this temple was established in the year 1920 by the Rajguru Tantrik Lalitanand Brahmachari of the Gidhaur royal family.
