Born to Late Shri Baikunth Singh and Late Smt. Siya Devi in the year 1967, Mr.Kunal Singh, the Producer, Director, Writer, and the Hero of the first ever Angika Language Feature Film, “Khagariya Vali Bhouji” belongs to Bodhnagar-Titahi village of Shambhuganj Block under Banka District of Anga region (Bihar State) of India.

His early days were spent in financial scarcities. He did his Primary schooling from Rajghat Middle School, at Banka. After completion of 10 th Board exam from Madita Vidyarthi High School, he moved to Evening College (Now B.N.College) for his Intermediate. He had to leave his graduation incomplete due to financial paucity. Meanwhile he did farming, raring cattles, sold milk up to Rampur Bazaar.

Thereafter, he left for Delhi with just one Rupee in hand. There he started working in a leather factory with a salary of Rs. 30/- per day. For his hard work, he was promoted to the store manager. Later, he was appointed as chairman of the CITU Union of 4000 labours. Due to some reasons, the factory was closed.

He came to Mumbai from Delhi and started to work as Auto-Rickshaw Driver. Then while working as a peon in company of the famous Lawrence-D-Sowja, he met with famous Music Director Himesh Reshamiya, who appointed him as his Manager. After this, Kunal got to become Manager of Producer Pranlal Mehta.

There he met Nana Patekar on the sets of “Yugpurush”, who suggested him to write scripts. Then he became the Assitant of Partho Ghosh. He also became the Assistant of Rakesh Sarang for the production of later’s TV Serials. Thereafter he also worked as Dialogue writer for Director Ravi Roy. Even Kunal had tried on his own risk to make a Hindi TV Serial, Manthan but he could not succeed.

At last, he worked as Chief Assistant to Producer, Director – Harry Baweja. The directed “Teesri Ankh” together. Inspired by the Baweja’s work, Kunal Singh decided to make first ever Angika language film- “Khagaria Vali Bhouji”. “ I started to make this film as a result of my natural attachment with my mother tongue Angika ” he says.“ The Melody of Angika language must reach to every nook and corners of India and all over the world,” Kunal Singh further adds.
