महर्षि मेही आश्रम, भागलपुर (Maharshi Mehi Ashram) – Bhagalpur

Maharshi Mehi Ashram, Kuppaghat, Bhagalpur has, over the years, grown into a sacred pilgrimage for millions of followers of Santmat from India and abroad. The auspicious occasions of the birth anniversary of Maharshi Mehi Paramhans and Maharshi Santsevi Paramhans, the successor of Maharshi Mehi, who also made this Ashram his main camp and residence, and Guru Purnima the Ashram draw lakhs of devotees presenting a celebratory environment impregnated with piety.

Maharshi Mehi Ashram by the river side is an ideal place for general tourists as well who love to spend their evenings here. The ashram hides an old subterranean passage leading to various destinations. Kuppaghat is, thus,included among the "must see" places in Bhagalpur in all the guide atlases or maps.

अंगकोरवाट (Angkorwat)

The temple of Angkor, the great historical legacy of Khmer civilization, stand majestically in Situ in north-west Cambodia. At the heart of the Khmer empire, Angkor Thome, for over 500 years from the ninth to the fifteen century, the monuments constructed by Ang-inhabitants (People belonging to Ang Mahajanpad of ancient India whose language was Angika.) during 1200 A.D. belong to the classic period of Khmer art and are unrivaled in architectural greatness.

देवघर – बैद्यनाथ मंदिर (Deoghar – The Baidyanath Temple)

The temple of Baidyanath faces the east and is a plain tone structure with a pyramidal tower, which rises from a square base to a height of 72 feet from the ground. To the east of the northern verandah of the temple there is a. large vat into which flows the water and milk offered as ablution.

The lingam is of a cylindrical forming about 5 inches in diameter and projects about 4 inches from the centre of a large slab of basalt. It is not possible to ascertain how much of the lingam is buried. The top is broken and has uneven surface and the fracture is attributed lo the Story already mentioned.

 

There are different porches in the temple. One porch leads to the cell where the lingam is fixed.
