Simaria is a village in India along the Ganges river in Begusarai district bihar. It is in Bihar and near Barauni. Thousands of pilgrims gather at Simaria Ghat every year to take a holy dip in Ganga on the occasion of Kartik Purnima.

It is near Barauni. Hindi poet Ramdhari Singh 'Dinkar' was born on 23 September 1908 in Simaria village, then part of Bengal Presidency, British India, now in Begusarai District.

Simaria is a famous Ganga Ghat from time immemorial. Ardh Kumbh Mela has also been held here.

We know Simaria Dham as Kalpwas Mela. It is believed that since the time of King Videha, the tradition of Kalpwas fair is going on, on the banks of river Ganga in Simaria. In spite of the changing environment since then, in the month of Karthik, people of Kalpa make a quarry on a pile of sand and consume the same to Ganges for a month.

मलूटी मंदिर, दुमका (Maluti Temples) – Dumka

Maluti temples are a group of 72 extant terracotta temples (out of the original number of 108), located in the Maluti village near Shikaripara in Dumka district on the eastern part of the Chota Nagpur Plateau, Indian state of Jharkhand. These temples, according to the Indian Trust for Rural Heritage and Development (ITRHD), were built between the 17th and 19th centuries. The kings of Baj Basanta dynasty built these temples in Maluti, their capital, inspired by goddess Mowlakshi, their family deity. Many of the temples are deified with different denominations of gods and goddesses, apart from the tutelary deity Mowlakshi, and others such as Shiva, Durga, Kali and Vishnu. The Global Heritage Fund (GHF) has proposed a conservation effort, which would increase tourism to the Maluti village. GHF has declared this site as one of the world's 12 most endangered cultural heritage sites.

उस समय इस गांव की आबादी काफी घनी थी । यह मंडी के नाम से जाना जाता था। एक बार ऐसा हुआ कि गांव में लोग अचानक घातक बीमारी की चपेट में आने लगे । एक के बाद एक कई लोगों की मौत होने लगी। लोग गांव छोड़ने का मन बना चुके थे। हालांकि अचानक रात में गांव के ही एक व्यक्ति को मां ने सपने में कहा कि उक्त स्थान पर मेरी पूजा के लिए बेदी बनाओ और हमारी पूजा धूमधाम से करो । तभी तुम लोगों की बीमारी दूर होगी। दूसरे दिन उस व्यक्ति ने गांव के लोगों को इस संबंध में बताया । ग्रामीणों ने मिलकर मां की बेदी बनाकर पूजा अर्चना शुरू की । इससे बीमारी से ग्रामीणों को छुटकारा मिलने लगा। तब से अब तक मां की अनावृत पूजा की जाती है।

मैना बीबी का मकबरा, राजमहल (Tomb of Maina Bibi) – Rajmahal

Maina Bibi’s grave in the centre of the town has a far more elaborate tomb, compare to other tombs in Rajmahal, dating back to 1779.

Historian H.M Qureshi has identified the tomb with Munni Begum, who was a Begum of the harem of Nawab Mir Jaffer of Bengal. It is in a state of decay.

राजमहल एवं साहिबगंज के कुछ और ऐतिहासिक अवशेष (Tombs of Miran, Other Tombs, Mosques & Other Remains) – Rajmahal & Sahibganj

A roadside grave is said to be that of Miran, the son of the erstwhile Nawab of Bengal, Mir Jaffar, who plotted against Siraj-ud-daulah. Its simplicity is unusual in that era of large elaborate tombs and mausoleums. This tomb is situated in Mahajantoli of Rajmahal with pin code 816109. This Tomb is on the verge of extinction with encroachment being the major problem.

Another important tomb is a few kilometers away in Begampur. In need of restoration like so many of the other structures in the area, this 17th century tomb is said to be the first octagonal tomb in Bengal.

Also worth seeing in Begumpur, is the Sirsi mosque and Shah Shuja’s pleasure retreat.

Beyond the western wall of the Jami Mosque is a small temple and a well.

Half a kilometer from Jami Masjid, near the Akbari Mosque, there is an old ruined hammam, said to have been part of Raja Man Singh’s Palace.
