प्राकृतिक धरोहर के रूप चर्चित जमुई जिले के भीमबांध और सिमुलतला के जंगलों में जलप्रपात का मनोरम दृश्य देखने को मिल जाते हैं, लेकिन इससे इतर सिकंदरा से दक्षिण ईंटासगर जंगल में स्थित देवोदह झरना (जलप्रपात) बिहार के कश्मीर के रूप में विख्यात ककोलत जलप्रपात की तरह प्रकृति का सुंदर नमूना बना है।

जंगलों से बहकर आने वाले कल-कल ध्वनि और घने वृक्षों की लंबी श्रृंखला से सजी सुरम्य वादियां सहित लगभग तीन से चार प्राकृतिक जलप्रपात क्षेत्र में देखने को मिल जाते हैं। यहां पहुंचकर मन में खूबसूरत प्राकृतिक सौंदर्य की एक नई उमंग पैदा हो जाती है। पर्यटन स्थलों से हटकर यह जलप्रपात ऐसे हैं जो बारिश के समय खिल उठते हैं। झरने के दोनों तरफ घने जंगल का नजारा के साथ गुनहला पहाड़, झाली पहाड़ से 50 फीट ऊंचाई से गिरते जल का सौंदर्य देखते ही बनता है। यहां इन दिनों आसपास के लोग बड़ी संख्या में पहुंचकर प्रकृति का आनंद उठा रहे हैं।

इंडपें गढ़, जमुई (Indpe Garh / Indapaigarh) – Jamui

This is supposed to be the capital of the last local king of Pala dynasty, Indradyumna of 12th century. It was earlier known as Indraprastha.Today only the low brick foundations of buildings survive above ground . About a dozen sculptures, mostly dating to about the seventh century have been found at this place such as  Standing Buddha image (61 x 28 cm, ), Standing Buddha torso(66 X 28 cm ), Stone stupa with seated Buddha(H. 61cm, diameter 30.5 cm ), Seated Buddha image(45.5X26.5 cm), Seated Buddha image(50.5 x 30.5 cm ), Seated Buddha image(30.5×23 cm ), Torso of seated Buddha image(40.5 x 39.5 cm number), Four-sided relief with Buddha images(26.5X23 cm ), Terracotta head (H. 11.5 cm. unnumbered),Pedestal of standingfigure(30.5×57 cm), Bhairava image(56 x 28 cm ) all these are kept in the Jamui Museum.

Lachhuar Jain Temple, Jamui

Jain Mandir Lachhuar: This is a large and old rest house (dharmsala) of 65 rooms constructed for the Jain pilgrims. There is a Mandir of Lord Mahavira inside the dhamsala. The idol in this temple is more than 2,600 years old. This black stone idol is of weighs around 250 kg. This is situated on the way of Kshatriya Kund Gram, the birthplace of Lord Mahavira. This place is located in Sikandra Block which is about 20 km west from Jamui District Headquarter.

मिंटो टावर, जमुई (Minto Tower) – Gidhaur, Jamui

Minto tower was erected in commemoration of Lord Minto, the then Viceroy and Governor General of India, who visited Giddhaur on 10th Feb 1906. The tower was constructed by Maharaja Rameshwar Prasad Singh ‘Bahadur’ of Giddhour.

It holds a historical importance in modern Indian history and marks the centre of Gidhaur city. Minto Tower is situated at Giddhaur block head quarter, in the middle of Gidhaur Market on the main Jamui-Jhajha state highway. which is 15 K.M East from the district head quarter, Jamui District.

जमुई (Jamui)

Jamui is a town and a municipality in Jamui district in the Indian state of Bihar. It is the district headquarter of Jamui district. Jamui was formed as a district on 21 February 1991 as a result of its separation from Munger. It is part of Munger Division.The town is situated about 60km South-West of Munger.

Historical existence of Jamui has been observed from the period of Mahabharta war. Archaeological and historical evidence shows its close association with the Jain tradition for a long past to the present time. A large part of this area is covered by forest.

जैन मंदिर, लछुआर, जमुई (Jain Temple, Lachhuar) – Jamui

This Jain temple is the gateway to the place believed to be the birthplace of Lord Mahavira. This temple is part of Jain circuit of Bihar and is a popular Jain pilgrimage. Many in Jainism believes and claims that , this place kshatriyakund, not Vaishali, is the birthplace of Lord Mahavir, the tithankar of Jains.
